Suswam Is Pleased With Governor Ortom’s Achievement Despite Economic Crunch

The CEO of Ashitect Conglomerate Nigeria Ltd, and a contender for Tor Sankera the 1st, Dr Terkula Suswam has promised to use the good office of Ashi Wave 99.9 Fm Katsina-Ala to sensitive the Sankera People, Tiv nation and the Benue State at large on the developmental strides of Governor Ortom.
He made this promise when he along with other traditional rulers from the Sankera Axis paid a courtesy call on the state commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investments Professor Tersoo Kpelai.
According to sources in the commissioner’s office who spoke to IPN, the promise followed the request of Dr Kpelai for the Radio Station to attach a reporter to his office so as to enhance his ability to disseminate useful information on the investments drive of the Ortom’s Administration. The commissioner particularly noted that ‘”information dissemination is the hub of good governance as it removes the tendency for rumour mongering and falsehood”. He urged the station to station to redouble its efforts in disseminating information on policies and programmes of the Ortom administration to make the public aware of the monumental achievement of the Governor despite economic crunch.
On the agitation by traditional rulers from Sankera to crown Dr Suswam the Tor Sankera, the Commissioner reiterated the resolve of Governor Ortom not to interfere in the selection process but advise the king makers to adhere strictly to the Tiv philosophy of Ya – na – Angbian saying it is only the truth that will restore the lost glory of the Tiv nation and will save the traditional institution from imminent collapse.
The Zege Iwanger I Tiv and Tor Sankera contender, Chief Dr. Terkula Suswam said he was pleased with the Administration of Governor Ortom especially in the area of completion of Road and rural electrification projects initiated by the previous administration, payment of accreditation fee leading to the graduation of students of BSU medical school who were stagnated for 12 years, renovation of college of Health Science, Agasha and School of Nursing and Midwifery, Makurdi, award of contract for construction and renovation of over 700 primary schools and UBE Junior secondary schools across the state amongst other numerous achievements despite economic strangulations.
He also thanked the Governor for appointing many worthy sons of Sankera into various positions in his administration and solicited for support to enable him to ascend the Tor Sankera stool noting that he had contributed a lot to bring peace, unity and development in Sankera and Tiv nation.
Tyoor Aondover Gbajur of Mbavuur in Logo, Donald Vihive and Swift Ivuen all from Ukum who presented Dr. Suswam to the commissioner extolled the leadership qualities of the Tor Sankera contender saying he was qualified to occupy the stool.
Others who spoke included: President General, Ukum Development Association, Makurdi branch, Barr. Bernard Nule, a contender for Ter Ukum stool, Emberga Sarwuan Kwaseka and Engr. Dr. Pst. Bill Anaka who is eyeing the Tor Tiv stool.
Permanent Secretary ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Mrs. Helen Atom, Directors of Industry Commerce, Administration and Supply as well as Finance and Accounts, Matthew Otache, J.O. Odoh,Phoebe Amenger and Patrick Asaaya witnessed the occasion.
