Muhammadu Buhari is holding a meeting with the progressive governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
Speculations have it that the governors may have been piqued by some of the actions of the President which may not have been favourable with the APC governors.
Among other reasons why the President summoned the meeting was said to be on the ambassadorial list which many say has not favoured the governors choices.
Majority of the APC leaders across the country, including APC governors, according to Thisday, were said not to happy with the way the latest ambassadorial list was handled, as they were completely alienated from the selection process, rendering them inconsequential in the power equation in their home zones.
Apart from the likes of Senator Olorunimbe Mamora, Mrs. Paulin Tallen, Mr. Usman Bugaje, and a few others whose appointments, many of the party’s leaders can justify, the aggrieved APC chieftains have vowed to frustrate other ambassadorial nominees on the grounds that they do not represent the reality and endorsement of party leaders in their states.
