That Nigeria is in a recession
is no longer news. That Benue, being a civil service state, is in the
eye of the storm of this recession, is a fact. That the economy of Benue
is in a lull because of the inability of the state government to pay
the salaries of workers, as and when due, is indisputable.
It is, therefore, surprising that Richard Agwa, the General Manager,
Urban Development, instead of thinking about how to improve the lives of
the common man, today went about destroying it. They descended on the hawkers with their bulldozers today at the small gate of the state secretariat. Watch the video for yourselves.
