PHOTOS: Beautiful Ladies From 30 African Countries Arrive Nigeria For Miss Africa 2016

Beautiful Queens from 30 African countries have landed at the Margaret Ekpo International Airport in Calabar ahead of the maiden edition of the Miss African Beauty Pageant organised by the Cross River State Government.

The beauty queens who arrived in the country yesterday are set to participate in the pageant themed “Climate Change”.

The pageant organised by the Cross River State Government is an initiative to raise awareness about the importance of Climate change and its effect on the world amidst other environmental issues.
Speaking shortly after his arrival from Morocco from the just concluded United Nations conference of parties COP 22 in Marrakech, the Cross River state governor, Professor Ben Ayade said: “The pageant is a warm embrace to Africa and more importantly, to create a platform to discuss the fate of Africans.”
He added: “the Miss Africa Beauty Pageant is a platform for the expression of intellectuality, capacity, unity, strength, vitality and the energy Africa represents.”  See more...
